Services We Provide

House of Dawn offers more than just a safe place for a mother and child.

As we are changing generations, we offer our young mothers childcare, counseling with certified counselors, educational and recreational opportunities, like skills such as time and money management, parenting and employment skills, and mental and physical health services.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_video link=”″][/vc_column][/mk_page_section][mk_page_section bg_repeat=”no-repeat” section_layout=”right” min_height=”0″ padding_top=”0″ padding_bottom=”0″ top_shape_color=”#ffffff” bottom_shape_color=”#ffffff” sidebar=”sidebar-1″][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1591204875883{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Education is important! We encourage our residents to seek education to prepare themselves for independence, self-sufficiency, and effective parenting.

House of Dawn has established collaborative partnerships within the community of Clayton County to enhance the overall program goals and objectives; we extended ourselves to outreach activities that promote prevention of teenage pregnancy, enhancement of educational Opportunities, child development child care services and independent living support services.

Our residents come from private placements, the Department of Family and Children Services, and the Department of Juvenile Justice.  All are treated with respect, consideration, and kindness.

Younger residents, who have not yet received their High School degree or a GED, are placed in our Second Chance (SCH) program, with 24/7 care and assistance, with the goal of completing this level of education.

As our residents grow, learn, and mature, they can move to our Independent Living Program (ILP), then our Transitional Housing Program (THP).

In these programs the residents are given support and continued education through a Life Coach, and affordable housing once they are working and can afford to start paying their way.  This dual-approach mirrors a loving family, where love and support are given even as the resident finds their way to separate from House of Dawn, when they are able to successfully support their child and live on their own.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/mk_page_section]
